CONSOLE NEVE V3 Inline 48ch Frame

48 transformer-balanced inputs with discrete-component Mic/Line Preamps, renowned for their high headroom and ability to handle complex transients.
Equalizer (4-Band Parametric):

High & Low: Switchable between Peak and Shelf.
Mid-High & Mid-Low: Fully parametric with “Q” control.
Filters: Independent high-pass (HPF) and low-pass (LPF) filters with variable slope.

Dynamic Section:

Compressor/Limiter: Variable Ratio, Threshold, and Release.
Gate/Expander: Essential for cleaning up drum and percussion tracks in real time.
Link: Ability to link dynamics between adjacent channels for coherent stereo imaging.

Routing e Monitoring

Small Fader / Large Fader: In-line architecture that allows simultaneous control of the incoming signal (monitor) and the return from the DAW or tape.
Aux Sends: Typically 8 configurable auxiliary sends, set pre- or post-fader for effect sends or headphone sends (cues).
Bussing: 24- or 48-bus assignment matrix for routing to recorders, or adjustable Direct Out for direct assignment, allowing fine-tuning of the signal sent to the DAW input or tape.

Master Section (Center Section)

Monitor Selection: Control for multiple pairs of speakers (Main, Nearfield, Mini).
Talkback: Integrated communication system between the live room and the studio.
Master Fader: High-quality stereo bus with dedicated insert.

Automation:

SYSTEM: Originally equipped with a Necam system, later adapted with UPTOWN 990 automation.
FUNCTIONS: 32-channel fader and mute automation, synchronized via SMPTE, on 48 channels.

Patchbay: Integrated Bantam/TT patch system and tie lines reaching all rooms and outboard equipment via Klotz cabling.

Technical Highlights

Frequency Response: Often exceeding 20 Hz–20 kHz ±0.5 dB.
Headroom: +26 dBu on balanced outputs.
Distortion (THD): Typically less than 0.005% at +20 dBu.
